As boxing gained popularity, the landscape shifted. New boxing schools emerged and the audience diversified, ranging from first-time boxers to experienced athletes looking for structured training rather than competition.
The challenge was to create an online presence that reflected Bokslokaal’s inclusive, modern atmosphere, while still communicating credibility as a professional training environment.
Rather than leaning into the aggressive visual language common in boxing culture, the direction drew subtle inspiration from educational environments.
The name Bokslokaal (literally “boxing classroom”) informed a calmer, more structured aesthetic, positioning the gym as a place to learn and develop skills. This helped frame boxing as a discipline that is taught, not just endured, making the experience feel more accessible without losing seriousness.

The website design emphasizes clarity and structure through clean layouts, restrained typography, and clear content hierarchy.
Class schedules are presented using table-like layouts inspired by school timetables, reinforcing the idea of boxing as a guided learning process. This makes it easy for visitors to understand how training is organized, what to expect, and how to get started, while supporting Bokslokaal’s identity as a modern, approachable boxing school.
