While many people own espresso machines, most never move beyond basic use. Coffee education is often presented in a highly technical, professional way, which can feel intimidating to beginners and hobbyists.
The challenge was to translate barista-level knowledge into something approachable and motivating, without losing credibility or oversimplifying the craft.
Barista 010 was positioned as a guide rather than an authority figure. The brand needed to encourage curiosity and progress, showing that good coffee skills are learned through practice rather than expertise alone.
The visual identity focuses on clarity, warmth, and progression, reflecting the idea that anyone can grow into the role of a barista. Instead of polished perfection, the tone emphasizes learning, experimentation, and confidence-building.

The brand was developed as a modular system that works across digital, physical, and educational touchpoints. Visual elements were designed to scale easily, allowing the course to expand without losing consistency.
Inspired by modern coffee culture, the identity balances approachability with craft. Real-world applications were explored to ensure the brand feels grounded and practical, reinforcing the “become your own barista” mindset while remaining accessible to beginners.
